This is part of a series of images shot on glaciers in Alaska, a river of ice and snow frozen in time. I remember the arid barren rugged landscape and that my fingers were too numb from the freezing temperature to hold the camera! Geologists date the ice to pre historic times, yet ironically these glaciers which have been as they are for millennia are fast melting due to climate change.
